General Conditions Of Use Of Our Facilities

General Conditions Of Use Of Our Facilities

For the welfare of all dogs, dog owners, staff and others that utilise Dogoverboard's services, the following simple general rules must be complied with:

  1. All dogs must be fully vaccinated; Puppies, booked into the puppy crèche, must have started their vaccination program.
  2. Dogs must enter and exit Dogoverboard on a short lead, under tight control. Dogs should not be allowed to interfere with other dogs and owners. Leads and collars may only be removed in the bath and swimming pool areas.
  3. Our prices are reasonable and industry average. They are based of the amount of effort and skills required to prepare, bath, dry, groom and clip your dog. Our standard pricing assumes your dog is groomed regularly, at least a minimum of eight weeks between grooms. We will give estimated-only prices over the phone based on our regular pricing. This price is not a quote as we have not seen the dog. Pricing may vary due to matting, dirty condition, aggression or size of dog and coat.
  4. Pricing may change without notice and is usually adjusted for CPI annually.
  5. Payments are required on the day for all services. We prefer cash and accept Visa or Mastercard credit cards and EFTPOS cards. There is a small fee for the use of credit cards.
  6. Dogs must be taken for a toilet walk before entering Dogoverboard. Dogs should not be taken from a car and immediately into Dogoverboard. The dog needs to relieve itself to be comfortable and relaxed.
  7. Owners are responsible to clean-up after their dog both inside and outside of Dogoverboard. This includes wee and poo and excess dog hair in the bath and drying areas for DIY clients. A pooper scooper, bags and bin are provided outside front entry. Paper towels and disinfectant are also available.
  8. Due to the high risk of cross infection, Dogoverboard does not provide shared water bowls. All dogs are provided with individual water bowls.
  9. Owners must respect other dogs and their owners. The pool area must be shared with other dogs. If a dog is unsociable, it must be removed. Humans must not interfere with, pat, or harass other dogs.
  10. Owners understand that the floor and pool areas may be wet and they must take care in all areas. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  11. Due to privacy regulations, taking photos or videos within Dogoverboard is prohibited unless permission is obtained from management.
  12. To keep our facilities flea free, any dog with fleas will be administered a tablet of Capstar which kills all fleas on the dog within 30 minutes. There is an additional cost.
  13. Dogoverboard reserves the right to refuse or terminate services without explanation. Our services can be refused due to unsociable behaviour, including aggression to other dogs or humans, excessive barking, being unhealthy, having excessive fleas and dirt, being a complete male or not showing proof of being vaccinated.
  14. Dogs may be isolated during the day if any signs of illness, coughing, excessive barking or aggression are shown. Owners will be informed and will be required to pick up their dog earlier than the arranged time.
  15. Dogoverboard has a responsibility of care for all dogs. If a dog is booked in for a service and is not picked up within a reasonable time after the agreed pick up time, the dog will be cared for in our doggy day care. A reduced day care fee will be added to the services provided.
  16. Dogs must be picked up before 5pm Monday to Friday and before 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.
Dogoverboard is not licensed to hold or board dogs outside of business hours. A fee will be charged for late pick-ups. The late pick-up fee may vary but is currently set at $10 for ever 10 minutes or part thereof late. If a dog is not picked up within 60 minutes of closing time, to ensure the dog's safety, the dog will be placed in boarding at Dogoverboard's Vet or the RSPCA. The owner is responsible for all late and boarding fees.
  17. We request that you inform us at least 24 hours before your appointment time if you are unable to attend. Failure to attend your appointment prevents other client's dogs being groomed and is an added cost to our business.
  18. Because we love all dogs, we welcome special needs dogs. Our style groomers and canine carers have been trained by Cheryl to take careful loving care with all of our dogs. Grooming some special needs dogs may take two or even three groomers instead of one groomer. Or the groomer may have to slow down and take a much longer time to provide calming care. In the end it takes much longer than planned to provide the grooming service. At all times, we ensure that our dogs are not put under stress and that they enjoy the grooming experience. As we can not tell from day-to-day how some of our dogs are going to react when being groomed, it is impossible for us to plan for these types of delays. Some days we may have no dogs with special needs and other days we may be overwhelmed. Providing this level of care, results in us sometimes running behind time. Of course, this is upsetting to us as well as our clients, but we will not compromise the safety, welfare and comfort of our dogs by rushing or cutting corners.
  19. Dogoverboard uses Fido's Everyday Soap Free Shampoo for all bathing. We are very experienced with and sell other special shampoos and sensitive skin shampoos and treatments. If you wish to have your dog washed or treated with other products, these are available to purchase and we will use them on your dog. Dogoverboard staff are experienced with the correct methods and applications of all types of shampoos, conditioners, rinsers, quit itch applications and medicated shampoo treatments. We can also store your shampoos and conditioners for use at your next appointment.
  20. All dogs and their carers must enjoy themselves and have a fun time.

About 3 years ago Gracie, a black Newfoundland joined our household. For most of that time she has been making regular visits to Dogoverboard and enjoyed every moment of it. The staff there do a wonderful job of ensuring she's looking her best all the time, but it goes way beyond that. As we have only ever had small short-haired dogs before having an 80 odd kilo, very long haired fluff beast has been a steep and fast learning curve, however the girls at Dogoverboard have been there every step of the way with tips, advise and helpful lessons in how to care for our fluffy house member. In short the only place you will find people who'll love and care for your dog as much as the staff from Dogoverboard is in your own home.

Bobbie is 7 years old and has been visiting Dogoverboard since he was a puppy. the staff at Dogoverboard treat Bobbie like he is family, which is why we keep coming back. Dogoverboard caters for busy mums and dads by offering doggy day care. Its satisfying knowing that Bobbie is in a safe environment and is having a great time socialising with other dogs. Thanks to Dogoverboard, Bobbie has gone from a dog that hated being groomed to a dog that looks forward to every visit to Dogoverboard. After his first visit with Trudie we felt confident that Dogoverboard treated our boy with love and care. trudie has been grooming Bobbie for 7 years now and they have developed a special bond. I would recommend Dogoverboard to anyone wanting reassurance that their pet will have a positive experience during their grooming sessions.

Millii loves going to DogOverboard; when we pull up it's difficult to restrain her as she pulls us to the door. The staff are wonderful and she loves them all and has a special welcome for her groomer, and at pick up she is always presented beautifully. We've sometimes sent her for day care and she loves it; the staff tell us she loves helping in Reception on those days. We thoroughly recommend DogOverboard to look after your pet.

From our first visits to DogOverboard for puppy preschool, our little girl Zuri has loved to spend the day with her friends at Dogoverboard. We use this as code at home because she absolutley goes berserk when she hears the words Dogoverboard. She knows the route in the car and can't wait to get there every single time. We know our precious girl is looked after and love at Dogoverboard - she comes home looking like a beauty queen because the grooming is impeccable. The amazing Cheryl, Zara and team do fantastic work and they do it with love and caring respect for each dog. Cheryl's knowledge about dogs and dog care is outstanding - we have found this support invaluable whenever we've worried any health or care issues. Our family can highly recommend Dogoverboardfor their knowledge, care and friendliness, fabulous grooming work and ever-willing to help attitude with respect to anyaspect of our dogs well being. They are truly passionate about dogs and realise that each one is a precious member of someones family. We look forward to Zuri's lifelong frindship with Dogoverboard.

Our precious boy Oliver is almost 13 years old and since he was a baby we have been taking him to Dogoverboard for his grooming - which is always a fantastic job. Oliver is our only boy and in such he is our treasure. We have never once left Oliver alone or put him in a kennel however leaving Oliver with Cheryl and her caring staff at Dogoverboard has never been an issue for us, they have our utmost trust as the wag of his little tail lets us know how much he is loved every time he goes there. We wholeheartedly recommend Dogoverboard to anyone who loves their four legged friend.

We first started going to Dogoverboard 6 years ago for puppy preschool. It was a great experience for our puppy Kevin to socialise, and also for our children to learn about caring for their new family member. After puppy preschool we continued to take Kevin for bathing and grooming. Kevin was diagnosed with moderate hip dysplasia at one. Cheryl was able to give me advise regarding diet and exercise, so together we taught Kevin to swim in the hydrotherapy pool. Not a lover of swimming at first, he is now a strong and keen swimmer who loves to be in the water. Kevin now has a little brother Phil who loves his trip to the groomers as much as Kevin. Although not as keen a swimmer, Phil loves to play in the pool area and socialise with the other dogs, but most of all they both love the care and attention they receive from their groomer Zara. The staff at Dogoverboard are caring and professional and always a pleasure to deal with.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful experience our fur babies have had at Dogoverboard, and as a customer of over 11 years say how much my family values your business. Our first little girl, Lilly started her grooming at Dogoverboard as a very little puppy with paw trimming and nail clipping. She was a timid little girl, but Cheryl's confident kind hand meant that as Lilly grew, she was happy to go back again and again for her full grooming experience. Our little boy, Oliver then came along and joined Lilly every 6 weeks for their grooming - they were so funny together, they knew when the car rounded the corner near Westfield and started to get excited and whimper to get to Dogoverboard, so funny. We lost our Lilly suddenly at the age of 6 and were absolutely devastated. Cheryl and David sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers and card, we were so touched by their kindness. Our third puppy, Izzy then came into our world, so (from then) every 6 weeks Ollie and Izzy love their happy time at Dogoverboard. All of the staff that have worked at Dogoverboard over our 11+ years of involvement have been excellent. Cheryl is a beautiful person and genuinely loves dogs, and sets high standards for all of the staff. In short, I would absolutely recommend Dogoverboard to any family for loving, kind experiences for their fur babies.

Dogoverboard really is a second family for our pup Bondi. Bondi first went to Dogoverboard in late 2010 - early 2011 for puppy pre-school. We were so impressed with the help, advice and facilities at Dogoverboard that we have been taking Bondi to doggy day care once a week ever since. At doggy day care Bondi has social interaction with a variety of dogs and can also make use of the unique dog pool. Bondi is also regularly bathed and groomed at dog overboard. You can also have your dogs nails done and have them massaged. Dogoverboard have everything you need including pet supplies like premium food, toys, grooming products as we as flea and tick treatments. I have also found the staff excellent, offering sound advice and creating a very fun and caring atmosphere. I cannot stress the fun and caring enough. The dogs have a lot of fun, it's a day of play and I highly recommend Dogoverboard to all dog owners.

For over 4 years now we have been taking our two dogs to Dogoverboard for grooming and day care. As pups the day care was an excellent way for them to learn valuable social skills and now that they are older they love playing in the pool area. we have found the staff to always be professional and friendly, the grooming service is excellent but best of all we know that the welfare of our dogs is their number one concern.

My human takes me to Dogoverboard and I love it. They taught me heaps of cool tricks in puppy preschool and now I get selfies with the girls when I go to day stay. Frankie, I am a Mini Daschshund. We have been taking our miniature Daschund Frankie to Dogoverboard for quite some time now. We use a number of the services they have to offer. Our friends recommendation to attend puppy preschool at Dogoverboard was not mistaken. As first dog owners, Cheryl and the team informed us on everything we needed to know and were also happy to answer any questions we might have had. Cheryl was able to give us Dashsie specific advice and has continued to, even after preschool has ended. Frankie has also been groomed at Dogoverboard. Grooming has always been a positive experience for Frankie at Dogoverboard, and she always looks and smells great! On days when we were doing long hours at work, we book Frankie in for day stay. While we are at work we know she is happy playing with other dogs, socialising and being cared for well. We have also used the pool facilities. It is great to be able to swim Frankie in a clean pool custom built for dogs! The staff at Dogoverboard are always helpful and friendly; we know it is a safe place for our pup.

My Staffy Dog..... This momentum is a dedication to my staffy dog called Thai. 12 months ago he was diagnosed with severe Osteoarthritis in front legs and could hardly walk, so I decided to try swimming at Dogoverboard at Adamstown. The wonderful staff there decided to put him in a swim vest and swim with him in the hydrotherapy pool for 20 minutes at a time. After three sessions using the swim vest he began to gain strenght in his legs, so I decided to try swimming without the vest on him. I would throw a rubber ball or floating tory in the water for him to swim and bring back. He loved it that much that I decided to bring him 3 times a week every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 30 minutes each time. He now has strengthened his muscles aroun d the arthritis and there is no stopping him. As he is nearly 13 years old, I will continue doing what I have done at Dogoverboard for as long as he lives. With commitment I feel that swimming in a controlled pool is the best you can do for your dog without putting pressure on their legs. With many thanks to owners, Cheryl and David and the staff at Dogoverboard, I would like to congratulate them in the work and effort that they put into our dogs. We are very lucky to have this facility because they cater for most things you want for your dogs, 7 days a week. Dedicated to Dogoverboard at Adamstown.o loves their four legged friend.

Dogoverboard has been good to both of my dogs, Teppe and Hector. Teppe is a small old Maltese and Hector is a big Labrador. The staff are very courteous and very professional. We first started going to Dogoverboard around 2007 with Stanley our eldest who has problem skin and major allergies. The care he received from the girls help him stay comfortable. Now along with Harvey and Bundy, the three musketeers all go together. We think they enjoy their time at the salon as they are very excited to see the girls when we come in and all tails are wagging. The lovely staff at Dogoverboard treat them like they are one of their own. When Bundy had a sore leg they gave him some gently exercise in the pool. There was even an occasion when they picked up a medical issue with Harvey. On a couple of occasions over the years we have tried other services but they were never up to the standard of Dogoverboard. At Dogoverboard our boys come out extremely well groomed, fluffy and smell soooo good. We now would not consider ever taking them anywhere else.

I have had the pleasure of using the services by Dogoverboard for the past 16 years. I first starting using Dogoverboard when opened in 2000. there was a facility to have your dog bathed and groomed, however I tended to use the DIY facilities myself as I had the time to do this and also the benefit of teenage children to help. It was very easy with our first Saint Bernard (Monstro) as he was your typical 'gentle giant' and loved his bath. Cheryl and David took over the business approximately in 2001 and I have watched the business develop from a basic Do it Yourself bathing and grooming service to the professional business that it has become. When they took over, there were 7 baths and 3 drying stations and the business was very opan plan. I remember their first introduction to our second Saint Bernard Malachy (Bugger Dog) vividly as he knocked perspex off the inside of the pool fence trying keep another dog away from HIS pool. He loved the swimming pool and tory but unfortunately he thought that HE owned the Dogoverboard and everyehing gelonged to HIM and would dive bomb any other dog who dared to to enter the pool area or HIS pool. This behaviour made bathing/drying/grooming very difficult, so in the end I decided to remove myself from these activities and use the groomers instead. This turned out to be the best decision I ever made as the aggression towards other dogs wasn't quite as bad and he spent many hours being bathed, groomed, getting his nails clipped and ears cleaned. If it hadn't been for Trudi's patience - he truly would have been a filthy saint. Over the years I have watched as they have gradually improved the facilities by adding the following items which have benefited all users; dividers between the drying stations, fence between the bath area & drying stations (not all dogs are keen on a bath and sometimes want to escape), introduction of a dog scale, recommended food supplies, more products available for owners to purchase. I have been fortunate enough to have used most of the facilities available which include; puppy preschool, DYI bathing, pool facilities, groomers, scales (weighing our puppy and watching him frow from 8kg - 80kg), purchase of products (shampoo, mats, ear products, safety belt, tick collars, gentle leaders, frontline etc). Cheryl's knowledge of dogs and their behaviour is second to none and there have been many times when I have sought her advice; whether it has been for toilet training or just bad puppy behavoiur. I know all 3 of my dogs have loved and do love going to Dogoverboard and look forward to the attention from all the staff but expecially Trudie and Zara. I have alway found the staff to be very friendly and genuine 'Dog Lovers'. My current Saint Bernard (Maximus) is another 'gentle giant' has attended and passed puppy preschool and continues to use the grooming facilities. Trudie keeps his coat beautiful and the number of remarks we get on our walks is amazing. People askk all the time about how soft and fluffy his coat is and what do I do? My reply is always the same - he goes to Dogoverboard.

Our journey with Dogoverboard began when we finally gave in to our Daughter Maddies constant request for a puppy. I just happened to call into Dogoverboard and got to speak to one of the owners the amazing Cheryl. She was more than happy to give up her time to give me advise on what breed of puppy would most suit our needs and our family. On her advise we went on to purchase our dog Jack who is a Bichon. Jack also went to puppy preschool with Cheryl and what a wonderful time we had. Now 7 years on Jack is a much loved and very special part of our family. He has also become part of the Dogoverboard family where he is much loved and treated like royalty at every visit. We always feel welcome at each visit and I beleive the services are such good value. Our family would have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful business and we love too that it is a family business and that they too are the proud owners of their much loved standard poodles. We wish them continuing success and many thanks for their on-going care.

My beautiful rescue dog, Millie came to my home over 10 years ago. Millie was in extensive pain with badly matted hair which needed to be removed. A work colleague of mine suggested that I go to Dogoverboard for assistance. I rang Dogoverboard and spoke with Cheryl, the proprietor of the business, speaking of the chronic physical and emotional issues that Millie had. After feeling the immense compassion given to me by Cheryl during the course of that phone call, Millie and I attended Dogoverboard the next day. Cheryl was so welcoming on our arrival and personally clipped Millie whilst allowing me to hold her because she was so scared from the previous abuse she had encountered. It took us over 3 hours, working together, to remove Millies matted hair. The love and care that Millie and I were shown by Cheryl during the course of our first visit will remain with me always. So, 10 years on Millie and I travel one and a half hours from our home to visit Cheryl, David and their lovely staff at Dogoverboard for Millies regular haircut. Everyone at Dogoverboard knows and loves Millie! Millie gets extremely excited knowing that we are about to visit Auntie Cheryl for a haircut - 5 more sleeps and the ongoing days - 4 more sleeps, 2 more sleeps, 1 more sleep.... guess what Millie! No more sleeps. Millie prick up her ears, tilts her and head and jumps on me every day I mention Auntie Cheryl. She knows exactly where we are going - she loves going to visit Auntie Cheryl!!! Thank you Cheryl, David and your beautiful welcoming staff; I will be forever grateful for your care of Millie and my other rescue dogs. Your love, care and compassion for dogs is unsurpassed. I would not trust my dogs with anyone else. I am a customer and friend for life!

Cheryl, Zara and the team are OVERBOARD! A team of caring, professional doggy people who provide a comprehensive dog service. The obvious advantages of taking your dog to Dogoverboard are the amazing professional grooming at a competitive price. Our dog Louis loves the pampering and attention he receives. Grooming is the obvious service Dogoverboard provides, the DIY bathing option is a winner with dedicated baths that are height adjustable and blow-drying facilities. Louis always comes back looking gorgeous and smelling good. But there's more! We highly recommend the puppy preschool, it was outstanding! An enthusiastic team lead by Cheryl provided us with confidence and a sound foundation to manage our dog and have Louis integrate as part of the family. Even after a tiring days work, puppy school was always an event, looked forward to by all. Dogoverboard also provide dog accessories including food, worming and flea/tick control at very competitive prices.

David and Cheryl Shaw first came into our lives just as they were taking over Dogoverboard in 2001, an entirely new type of venture for both. Our 12 month old, 70kg Newfoundland, Wendell was ex-show and full of 'attitude' trying to find his place in this new world of his. But sometimes he beleived his way was best and wouldn't take No for an answer. So, Dogoverboard? Let's try! Well, suffice to say, within 2 trips of bathing and grooming, all I had to say was Dogoverboard? and he was in the car in a flash! He loved his swims, playing ball with all the other friends he made there. Over the last 12 years Wendell has really enjoyed every part of going to Dogoverboard weekly. It always has been his 'Big Day Out', still is. As a youngster he enjoyed all the fun, and now he is older he still loves going weekly, even though all he does is sit and watch the interactions happening around him. The care, and absolute professional attention he is being given now as his life draws to an end is still most definitely giving him pleasure - the groomers he has had over these last 12 years have 'adopted' and welcomed him at every arrival and he still loves the attention, as I have always appreciated their attention to detail, always looks great on pick up. I have recommended many friends of mine to Dogoverboard and have yet to hear a single complaint from any of them. So now to Cheryl,"Don't like the look of that, go see the Vet" - "Let's try this shampoo, it may work better on his skin" - "He's not too happy today, what's wrong? Better see the Vet" Always professional, always on the ball re changes in a dog, always making time to see and talk to any client who has a problem. And, we must talk about some of the fabulous nail painting that's been done, just for the fun of it. Wow! Thank you Zara, you Australian Champion You. Our grandchildren come and ask every week, "What's Wendell got now?" As business people, we understand and appreciate just how completely professioanly and ethically Dogoverboard is being run. They have our absolute confidence and admiration in caring for just our one dog from strident puppyhood to old age. Would we recommend them? Absobloodylutely!!!

I have been coming to Dogoverboard for 11 years to use their facilities to wash my Malamute and Newfoundland. It is so easy to wash them there. The baths are spacious and waist high so you don't have to bend. There are ramps for big dogs to walk up into the tub if they need help. You can also use their dryers which are powerful which is great for dogs with thick coats. The owner Cheryl is very nice and knowledgeable and the staff are very helpful. I would recommend this facility to all dog owners.

I could not recommend more highly, Cheryl and her wonderfull staff at Dogoverboard Adamstown for all your puppy dog needs. Dogoverboard is truly a professionally run business that provides an exceptional service in dog grooming/pampering, puppy preschool, day care, pet products and so much more. The premises are clean and tidy and there's always a vibrant hype of activity form owners dropping off or picking up their beloved dogs to puppy dogs happily at play. I met Cheryl and her staff 2 and a half year ago at puppy preschool. I knew from that moment that I had found the right place to receive all the correct information and advice on looking after a pupply. I can tell that this is not just a business for Cheryl. It's a labour of love for her and her professional team and I feel it every time I walk through those gates and so does my dog Daisy. Daisy is always greeted with cuddles and kisses from all the beautiful staff that work there and it's obvious that they share in Cheryl's passion and love of dogs. Daisy is always immaculately groomed and smells beautiful. Keep up the fabulous work ladies. You are ALL amazing. I really couldn't imagine taking Daisy anywhere else.

What can I say, a very professional, well run business with the kind of staff every workplace would love to have. We have been taking our puppies/kids to Dogoverboard for over 6 years. The treatment and kindness that they receive is second to none. From reception through to the grooming everything is exceptional, and yes the puppies have a favourite, (they love seeing Zara) the attention and love our puppies receive is special. After a tub, haircut and cuddle they look wonderful. If you want to treat your puppy to something special we recommend the Dodoverboard experience to anyone.

Our dog has been groomed at Dogoverboard since 2006, she is so spoiled. The customer service is excellent. All the staff are friendly and professional. Everybody goes above and beyond their duty to make us feel part of this big family. They are always reliable and compassionate. They like all the different dogs without prejudice. I have learned to understand my dog's behaviour and personality even more than before. She is so happy when she goes to Dogoverboard. She knows she will be pampered and will look and feel really good when she leaves. Noosa and us are lucky to have you.

I must say our dog Pricilla's most favourite day of the week is when she goes to be groomed at Dogoverboard Adamstown. She goes once a week and comes home looking and smelling amazing. Usually that does include a fresh coat of nail polish and nail art (which i must admit capture a lot of attention on her daily walks). Cheryl, David, Zara and their team do their utmost by treating every dog special. They go beyond the call of duty every time, for example, Pricilla had an ear infection and their staff noticed this during her visit and notified us. They are not Vets but this is an extra treatment we really appreciate. Whilst waiting to pick up Pricilla I notice the way the staff conduct themselves with all the other dogs and owners. They are so lovely and kind to all of them. We would highly recommend if you are looking for kind, caring and experienced staff these guys are the BEST.

We are Coton De Tulearis and our names are KJ and Cola. We have been going to Dogoverboard for our grooming since we were quite young and love it. Because we have very long cotton wool like coats our mummy take us every two weeks so we know all the staff very well and are very fond of Sara who give us our haircut and blow dry. Mummy says - because most people keep their dogs coats quite short and I wanted to keep my dogs with their traditional coar which is long, white and very fine I struggled to find a groomer that was interested in this. The team at Dogoverboard were very excited to groom them and they have built a fabulous friendship with KJ and Lola. I can highly recommend your dogs into their care.

I became aware of Dogoverboard about 7 years ago when our 2 year old dog, Gimley was recovering from a spinal injury. The surgeon in Parramatta said that he had a long road to recovery but that swimming should help him. Thankfully in Newcastle I found this excellent facility for dogs which includeds a heated swimming pool. I spent many weeks in the pool with Gimley, holding him up and encouraging him to swimand move his legs. After about 3 months we went back to the surgeon and he was amazed at how well Gimley was recovering. Gim is now nearly 9 and still runs around the backyard, albeit a bit wobbly and he is still going to Dogoverboard! I don't swim with him anymore but he is VERY well looked after during his 6 weekly wash and groom. I would highly recommend the wonderful family atmosphere at Dogoverboard and if you have a dog with any form of hip or back injury and swimming is allowed - take advantage of this fabulous facility we are so lucky to have in Newcastle!

Seven years ago we sent our precious puppy off to Dogoverboard for the first time and since then we haven't looked back. To say that we are delighted with Ella and Peppy's grooming is an understatement. The level of service and the high level of care shown to our pets at Dogoverboard is always second-to-none. We send our two beloved Shih Tzus off to Dogoverboard every week and they always come out immaculately groomed. We never have to worry about leaving our babies at Dogoverboard - Cheryl and all the staff treat them with such kindness and respect - we know they're in safe hands. We would highly recommend Dogoverboard services to anyone who's looking for a top-quality grooming service.

In 2005 we were first time dog owners and were introduced to Dogoverboard through the puppy school. The love and affection that the staff had for our puppy was immediate. Our puppy soon grew up loving the doggy salon and the monthly pamper, we were comforted in knowing that the same groomer looked after our dog at each visit. Since then we have introduced two more of our puppies to Dogoverboard and they too love coming to their monthly groom. Dogoverboards service has always been professional and of the highest standard, and our dogs are always treated like VIP's and that's the most important part of the service to us. I recommend Dogoverboard to eveyone. Special thanks for looking after Ruby, Alex and Jessie.

Dogoverboard was recommended to us in 2002 when we first moved to Newcastle because Cheryl had a reputation for really caring for the dogs she clipped. When we returned to Sydney in 2004 we still continued to travel up the F3 every 6-8 weeks to have Remy, our mini poodle clipped! Remy has passed on and now we take Sassy to Dogoverboard because she's worth it. Having a dog clipped in Sydney is such a hassle! We would be told that poodles weren't clipped on Saturdays, or we would be told to be there before 9am and to puck up after 4pm. We wouldn't know if Remy had been given water or allowed a tiolet break during that time. We noticed a number of groomers in Sydney tied up and muzzled the dogs too. At Dogoverboard you are given a choice of times to drop your dog off and the groomer tells you what time your pet will be ready (usually a three hour turnaround). The dogs aren't left sitting in cages. You can also watch your pet be clipped through the glass window. Nothing is behind closed doors. All the girls (and boys) are wonderful and it is clear they genuinely care for dogs. Trudie clips Sassy and I thoroughly recommend her as a groomer. We now spend our weekends back in Newcastle, so no more day trips up the M1, but 13 years later we're still going to Dogoverboard.

I decided to write this to let other dog owners know how pleased I am with your services. In fact I am 'more than pleased!!!' I have been given a warm friendly welcome on every one of our arrivals over the past 8 years, and asked just what I wanted in the way of grooming for my dog, I explained what I wanted to be done, I then left Parker, returning later to find he has been bathed and groomed to a high standard just as I had requested. (NOT THAT I EVER DOUBTED IT!!!) What I receive from Dogoverboard is - first class customer care; friendly, competent and experienced service and great value for money. I will be using Dogoverboard for as long as my 'Parker' is alive (hopefully forever)!! I would highly recommend Dogoverboard to anybody looking for professionalism and caring staff with a knowledge beyond expectation!!! Thanks from a very satisfied customer and her dog.

I have been taking my two standard poodles to Dogoverboard for over five years. Poodles need to be pampered and they demand attention. My dogs cant wait to get inside when they arrive at the grooming parlour. Everyone greets us and particularly our dogs with friendliness and provide a personal touch. We are not just customers. Cheryl, David, Zara and the staff know my dogs and their temperaments and they are all treated like special clients with an exemplary attention to detail even down to the bow in the top knot the pawacure and painted nails. I have attended two Puppy Pre Schools held by Dogoverboard and on both occasions they were informative and very good value for money, not conducted by someone who just likes dogs but people who focus on all aspects of canine husbandry, care, obedience, pet owner responsibility and consideration and management of your companion animal at home. Now that I have four dogs, two standard poodles, one poodle look alike (Labradoodle) and a Maltese Terrier, when they all get to go to the groomers, they all get almost uncontrollably excited, have a ball when they are there, getting a heap of attention and care, and all think they are so beautiful when I pick them up. Indeed they are! Yes, Dogoverboard is a business, but it is more to me, as it has its owner's heart and soul poured into providing a great service to customers and their companion animals and for that I will keep on going back.

We really appreciate that staff take pride in their work and treat each dog as their own. • Dogoverboard! What can I say about this establishment; nothing but praise! Our dog, Mozzie, has been coming to Dogoverboard since he was six weeks old. As soon as I mention Cheryls name he goes crazy. He cannot wait to get there. He is groomed, loved and so well treated, I could not think of a better place to be groomed and pampered. Also if I ever have any concerns with Mozzie I call Dogoverboard to get help and advice. Mozzie is now 11 years old and loves his visits to Dogoverboard.

I've been a frequent visitor to DogOverboard since they opened, over 10 years ago. In fact, I've watched this small business grow, from it's very beginning, when neighbours were simply amused that we had our own Health Spa and heated pool for dogs! But over the years, I've watched DogOverboard become a thriving resource, providing activity, fun and comfort, for more and more dogs, and their owners. I know its popularity just keeps growing, mainly because of Cheryl's genuine commitment to the happiness of dogs, of every variety. I walk past there often, and the doggy noises I hear coming from there, are always from dogs enjoying themselves, barking and playing, happily and excitedly. My dogs especially love Cheryl, and the kind attention and care she gives them. The support and understanding she offers, in caring for my dogs, has provided me with reassurance and practical assistance, on so many occasions, and has made my dogs' lives more comfortable. Because she is the only qualified dog hygienist in Newcastle, I know I can trust Cheryl's advice completely, as well as her extensive skills in handling and grooming dogs. I've also noticed that the staff she employs are all just as loving towards dogs, and committed to their happiness, as she is. In fact, I wonder what I'd do without DogOverboard, at times! I just don't know where else I'd find such consistently caring and helpful, friendly practical assistance, in making my dogs as happy and healthy as they can be. More than that: Cheryl's love for dogs, and her warm concern for people who love their pets, is obvious, in all the services that DogOverboard provides. Now my dog is elderly, and the kindness, gentleness and understanding, that Dog Overboard extends to me and my dog, in his more fragile state, simply means the world to me! If anything, from years of using their services, I am too much indebted to Cheryl, and her staff at DogOverboard, for the care and support they have given me, ...to provide an un-biased review of their services: I JUST LOVE THEM!

Our poodle has been attending this business since she was a pup and absolutely enjoys every time she goes. It's a weekly visit for her and as soon as you pull up in the car she goes crazy to get out. As a pet owner that tells me she loves her time spent there. Cheryl, David, Zara and their team always make us feel so special when we arrive. For a pet owner this is 'Gold'. The team are so dedicated and precise with their attention to detail. The nail art that our dog has had over the years is just out of this world. In fact, no wonder the team has won so many awards. These attributes are what make up a great all round amazing team. Thank you for the awesome weekly treatments for our dog and she can't wait to see you all next week.

I have trusted Dogoverboard with my pets for over 12 years. I, like so many pet owners are very particular about whom I trust with my kids. There is no other establishment in NSW that offers these services, or has such highly trained staff. Cheryl, David and the entire crew give 100% and this shows in the high standard they set for themselves and have on open display everyday.

Our miniature poodle Molly has been a regular at Dogoverboard ever since her first puppy preschool lesson in 2013. Whether it's a wash and blow-dry, day care or grooming, Molly is always eager to get through the doors and spend time with the friendly and professional staff at Dogoverboard. The expert advice, care and love that all staff has is infectious to both the dogs and their owners. We could not speak more highly the team at Dogoverboard. They have, without a doubt, help make our little Molly the best friend anyone could ask for.
